Publication Ethics

The Nederlands Platform voor Farmaceutisch Onderzoek (NPFO) follows the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (ICMJE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (DOAJ). If any deviation from these guidelines is suspected, the Editors will deal with this matter according to the Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Every research article involving humans or animals must include a statement that the study obtained ethics approval (or a statement that it was not required and why), including the name of the ethics committee(s) or institutional review board(s), and a statement that participants gave informed consent before taking part, if applicable. Any identifiable patients must provide their signed consent to publication.

All authors are asked to provide full details of competing interests. A declaration of these competing interests is included in each article. Otherwise, a statement is included that no competing interests have been reported.
